Y-Logimed, official distributor of 3Μ Medical Solutions in the Public Hospitals of Greece, actively participated in the Two-Day Event on C.S.S.D., titled “Standardization & Digitalization in C.S.S.D. in the battle against infections: Crisis? Time for Distinction!” which took place in LAIKO General Hospital of Athens on November 18-19.
Our company, Y-Logimed, showed its dynamic presence through the organization of a speech named
“Improving Patient Safety by using Protocols in the Sterilization Cycle”, speaker Benek Civelek, 3M Scientific Affairs Manager, Sterilization Platform, Europe, Middle East and Africa together with 3M Hellas. In a full amphitheater, Ms. Civelek elaborated on the constant challenges faced by C.S.S.D. during instrument reprocessing and sterilization, stressed on the need to monitor and verify each and every sterilization cycle and emphasized on the importance of validating the sterilization results by using Biological Indicators certified by an independent notified body.
During a period of proven rapid increase of Hospital Infections in the Public Hospitals of Greece, (e.g. approx. 1 out of 2 patients ends up with a microbial infection in the ICU given a recent study by National Public Health Organization), the validation of the sterilization outcome is an absolute necessity for the healthcare professionals.
